A lifelong woodworker and craftsman, Wayne Dutcher founded his original shutter company - Dutcher Shutters - in the year 2000 in response to the demand for high-quality, functional exterior shutters across the Gulf Coast of the U.S. Over the past 25 years, Dutcher Shutters has protected private and commercial structures from environmental conditions, as well as providing aesthetically-pleasing, long-lasting and historically accurate exterior shutters.

In late 2024, Wayne reimagined his company as Aegis Shutters to support a national expansion initiative. Hailing from Pearl River, Louisiana (just outside of New Orleans), Wayne and his team consult, create and deliver high-quality, custom craftsmanship to customers across the nation.
