WARRANTY COVERAGE

Aegis Shutters warrants to the original purchaser that our exterior shutters will be free from defects in workmanship and primer application for a period of ten (10) years from the date of purchase, subject to the terms and conditions set forth below.

WHAT IS COVERED

This warranty covers:

Workmanship defects including but not limited to joint failure, frame separation, louver alignment issues, and construction-related problems
Primer application defects including inadequate coverage, poor adhesion, or primer-related finish failures on factory-primed shutters

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This warranty does not cover:

Unprimed shutters - shutters sold without factory-applied primer are not covered under this warranty
Hardware - hinges, handles, mounting brackets, screws, and all other hardware components are excluded from this warranty but may be warrantied from the hardware manufacturer
Paint or stain finishes applied over the primer (whether factory-applied or field-applied)
Normal wear and tear from weather exposure and aging
Damage from improper installation or failure to follow installation instructions
Damage from misuse, abuse, or negligence
Damage from extreme weather events including but not limited to hurricanes (Cat 4 or above), tornadoes, large hail, or other extreme acts of nature
Damage from impact by vehicles, equipment, or other objects
Modifications or alterations made to the shutters after manufacture
Fading, chalking, or other natural weathering of primer or finish coats
Damage from chemical exposure including cleaning products, fertilizers, or environmental pollutants

WARRANTY PERFORMANCE

If a defect covered under this warranty occurs during the warranty period, Aegis Shutters will, at its sole discretion:

Repair the defective shutter(s) at no charge, or
Replace the defective shutter(s) with comparable new shutters

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

To maintain warranty coverage:

Shutters must be properly installed according to Aegis Shutters installation instructions
Original purchaser must provide proof of purchase and date of installation
Defects must be reported to Aegis Shutters within 30 days of discovery
Aegis Shutters must be given reasonable opportunity to inspect the shutters before any repairs are attempted

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser
Replacement shutters are warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period
Aegis Shutters' maximum liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the shutters
No warranty is provided for labor costs associated with removal, installation, or reinstallation

EXCLUSIVE REMEDY

The repair or replacement of defective shutters as described above shall be the purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty. AEGIS SHUTTERS DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL AEGIS SHUTTERS BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including but not limited to property damage, lost profits, or costs of removal and reinstallation.
